These balloons
appear to walk across the floor. Some of them can be made to float
mid air. This is achieved by adding/removing small weights (normally
paperclips) to the feet of the Air Walker.
They make
great gifts for children and adults and are always a talking point.
The size of
each balloon is shown beneath the relevant image of the balloon.
With this
type of helium balloon it is difficult to give a precise floating
time because this is is dependent upon the shape and size of the
balloon. Generally the bigger the helium balloon the longer the
floating time.
They will
float longer than the 18" balloons, normally between 18-30
days. After
a few days the balloon will start to show signs of deflation,
but will still float. The exact floating time depends on a number
of environmental factors mainly air temperature. The warmer the
air temperature, the greater the loss of helium, thus the balloon
does not float for so long.
The balloon
is made of a metallic foil, often known as Mylar and is filled
with Helium gas which makes it float.
