Unless
otherwise stated all message balloons are approximately
18 inches in diameter and are made from lightweight
foil known as Mylar.
How
Long Do The Message Balloons Float For?
The
helium filled message balloons will float for approximately
7 - 10 days dependent upon the air temperature. After
a few days the balloon will start to show signs of deflation,
but will still float. The exact floating time depends
on a number of environmental factors mainly air temperature.
The warmer the air temperature, the greater the loss
of helium, thus the balloon does not float for so long.
What
Is The Exploding Balloon?
This
is an 18" clear latex balloon filled with inflated
5" balloons and fire retardent flutter confetti.
All instructions for hanging and bursting the balloon
are included with the balloon.
Our
18 inch message balloons and red heart latex balloons
are delivered in a plain white box, especially
made for us. We make it our policy NOT to use
the "standard balloon delivery candy striped"
box. The reason for this is that the contents
of a "candy striped" box are readily
identifiable by the exterior markings of the box,
to people who have received or seen such boxes
before. With our plain boxes, the contents remain
a mystery, thus maintaining the surprise until
the box is opened.
The
shape, Airwalker and bouquet balloons are delivered
in a plain brown box which is a size acceptable
for delivery through the Royal Mail. We do not
use the standard balloon wholesaler's white "Air
Walker/bouquet" boxes for delivery, because:
the boxes exceed the maximum size of package
that can be sent through the Royal Mail. The
Royal Mail can refuse to deliver such boxes.
the
contents of these boxes can be identified by
the abnormal size of the box and the fact the
weight of the box is very light.
All boxes will be taped using either white or
brown adhesive tape (unfortunately we cannot use
clear adhesive tape, as it is not recommended
by the Royal Mail, for sealing boxes that will
be transported through its network).
We
do not wrap the boxes in ribbons or bows as these
the ribbons can get caught and the bows squashed
during transit within the Royal Mail delivery
service.
Very
Easy:
Step 1 - Select your balloon
Step 2 - Enter your details and delivery details
Step 3 - Confirm the order
Step 4 - Pay for it.
Once
confirmation of payment is made, you will be sent an
e-mail confirming the details of your order.
What
is the Latest Time I Can Place An Order?
The
website will accept orders for next day delivery up
until 2.00pm from Monday to Friday. On Saturdays and
Sundays the next delivery day will be Tuesday.
Can
I Specify a Time For delivery?
Unfortunately,
at the moment this is not possible. All we can advise
is that the balloon will be delivered to the majority
of the UK on the day of delivery, normally with the
first post.
We
appreciate that Credit Card payment is a major concern
of many shoppers on the internet. This is why we use
the Award Winning WorldPay system. It is sometimes referred
to as the internet version of the swipe machine seen
in shops and is recognised by the majority of the clearing
banks as an accepted method of payment over the internet.
No credit card numbers are seen by us - all we receive
is confirmation of payment being accepted or rejected.
Credit Cards are automatically checked to see if they
are valid.
My
Payment Keeps Being Rejected?
Firstly
if you try and order more than two balloons or put through
two payments your card will temporarily be barred. This
is an in built security device to prevent people from
accidentally putting through the order more than twice.
ALL YOU need to do is wait for half an hour and order
the other balloons.
Secondly
check that your card number is correct and that your
postcode is correct. If you are using a switch card
then do not forget to include the issue number.
If
you are trying to place an order from a workplace or
an internet cafe, security features may have been put
in place to prevent "online shopping". If
this is the case then please telephone our order hotline
- 0800 096 1001 (open Monday to Friday 10.00am
to 4.00pm - UK Time).
If
you are still having problems, then it may be that your
bank has rejected payment for some reason. If you believe
this is could be the problem, please contact your bank.
The
balloons will be delivered in a suitable box for transit.
The box will be lined with tissue paper, the balloon
will be tied to a suitable weight or the accompanying
gift. If a message is required it will be secured to
the inside face of the box or tied to the balloon.
Does
Anybody Need To Be Present For Delivery?
Yes,
in the UK the balloons are delivered using a Royal Mail
priority mail service known as "Special Delivery"
which offers next day delivery - a signature is required
from the recipient for this service. If nobody is present
to receive the balloon, a delivery advice card will
be left for the recipient informing them that the parcel
is being held at the local delivery office.
If
it is being delivered abroad, we can only confirm that
the parcel has been signed for.
How
Can I Check That It Has Been Delivered?
If
you have provided a valid e-mail address you will receive
a reference number by e-mail after the balloon has been
dispatched. You can then visit our site and click on
"Track It" on the Menu bar. This will show
you when the order was delivered or if an attempted
delivery has been made (see
above paragraph for more info about attempted
delivery). This tracking facility only applies to
UK deliveries.
Why
Can You Not Deliver on A Sunday or Bank Holidays?
The
Royal Mail does not deliver post on these days.
